Welcome to the U-Who Network’s U-What Project

U-What is a partnership project between Workcover, the United Trades and Labor Council (UTLC) and Northern Futures Connect. U-What links with U-Who, the Young people and Unions Network, an education and action based movement of young people committed to improving the rights and welfare of young people at work by assisting them to join and actively participate in unions.

Over the past year students from four schools have been meeting with members of the U-Who network to increase their knowledge and awareness about workplace rights for young workers and explore Occupational, Health and Safety issues for young wokrers in a range of occupations and industries. Student’s work in the project will be accredited at stage 1 of the South Australian Certificate of Education.

The result is this on-line resource about workplace safety, advocacy and workplace rights for young workers that will be accessible to young people at school and in the workforce.
